Well I can't believe the out come. Not feeling it today cause I came down with a cold thursday mostly fever. Pounded the 5 to 6 thousand mg of Vit C every night before. That broke the fever just enough. Although I felt like a slug in practice. Still have a sort troat.
They really changed the track from the other times I practiced there, preping for todays race. So my evening walkabout was a must. So many parts of the layout will be for the upcoming National. But half the length.
Good starts in both races. Man its way cool to hit fifth gear into Talladaga turn. Got a little ballsy and pinched off most going into TD turn 2nd moto. Had the lead the first lap. Now had I not stalled it the turn after the whoop section I may have finished first. I figured fifth at best but was third. Turned out that Craig felt we had a sandbagger in our class and moved him into the amateur class, well yeah, he was 28 seconds ahead of me at the finish in the first moto to my second. So I end up going 2-3 for 2nd OA.
As it is now I have a one point lead in first for the series over all. One more race in two weeks. Anyone want to goto Comp Edge Saturday?
I don't think there are pics unless I can figure out who the black guy was standing at the bottom of the third uphill. Watch out for the kicker at the top. Fun, but a little unnerving.
Our photographor crashed hard trying the 90 footer at Perris last week. No broke bones, but was out cold for 5 minutes with a huge shinner to his right eye.
Til next time, don't short that double.
