Snow Bike Event

Post by rpeterson »

So, I'm racing in this event at the begining of Feb. Should be very interesting on the 2 Moto machine. I will be on a Speedway bike the weekend after at the Gumball Rally. :? Adelanto GP after that, I hope I survive because hillclimb season starts at the begining of April. Dad and Team Manager aren't very stoked, but I gotta have some fun. :D

Just looks waaaayy too fun, if there is such a thing! And on a golf course, HELL YA!! As I think Throttle Jockey used to say, "Because all golf courses should be motocross tracks." Keep'em all on two wheels and good luck!

I can see where Pops and Mgr are a bit concerned!! hehehehe!

Comment off of KTM Talk:

I tried the explorer version this weekend and it is a blast in deep powder.

There was a 250xc 2T and a klx450. The 2 stroke is more fun and gets up on top of the snow easier. But the engine works a lot and doubt it would be good in the long run.

A 500 2 stroke with this kit.... :whoop:

Check out the fitment chart. http://www.2moto.com/About_Products/Fitment_Chart/

David Kamo comments:

My experience on a snow bike was amazing. The snow bike was pretty tall, but it wasn't like you had to touch the ground when you rode them. I struggled for the first few minutes, then it was like riding a dirt bike, but in snow. It is a great cross training for when you can't ride in the winter. I had a blast riding a snow bike probably because it was very similar to a dirt bike. It was also like a snowmobile, but with out all the weight. Plus you could side hill, jump farther, and corner easier than on a snowmobile. I liked how it only took a couple of seconds/mins to get unstuck in the snow. Compared to a sled, where it would take 2 ppl. and 30 mins. When Snow bikes first came out, it was like a whole new chapter in the motorsports. I can't wait to see riders racing snowbikes on tv.

*It's gonna be interesting. :D
