This is not a "Fun" ride.....
At my riding level, there are times it feels allot like this...
Its all rideable, riding it at a fast pace is what I have difficulty in....
YOUR EQUIPMENT MUST BE TIP-TOP!!
Heavy Duty tubes, and fresh tires are highly recommended.
Skid plates and handgards are too....
If you have a dented pipe in the garage, put it on.
You want to carry 100oz water MINIMUM!!!!!
I spoke with Trace today.... He rode yesterday.... Had a GREAT TIME!!!!
A great time = 35 miles, in 4 1/2 hours.
My best advise in to make sure you and your machine is in great shape, and nothing is going to fall off ( Brit) .
At times, you will be 15 miles from the truck, and there is no " Chicken Out" or " Limp Mode" road back.
I did the math once..... Something like 4 years x 20 bikes x 2 days x 30 miles = 4800 bike miles. We have never left a bike in the desert yet!!!! ( dont be the first.......)
Once you start a loop, you finish a loop. Period. If you want to bitch about it , do so back at the staging area. Bitching on the trail is bad form and reduces th amount of help your likely to need and receive.
I think there are going to be two groups....
"A to B+" riders
"B- to C" riders
I'm not trying to scare anyone out of this, but rather hype you up for it!!
Be sure to ask any and all questions before hand.
This is a great ride, and you will be amazed at what you and your bike are capable of...
