Not sure if I like it or hate it

Do any of you give names to your builds?
I started referring to mine a while back as the VCR500X.

Well....it's part CR and part VFR.
Here's what the "V" stands for.

Is that the common name or the scientific term? I'd call that alphebet soup. I've always really liked the simple names. Like R1, R6 and RC51. I like your bike, I respect your innovativeness with the once sided swingarm...haven't seen that on a SM build yet  But I'd have your name loose the double chin and kankles until it was a VC5R

I have wondered what it would look like w/knobbies....

Thanks, but I still have the challenge of making a new rocker arm for the shock linkage.

At this point I can't wait to sit on it and bounce on the seat.

New avitar, Nav?

I'd call it "FRANKENBIKE"...

That thing is all sorts of bikes confused into one. I LOVE the swingarm !!!

"Skiddy"

P.s. I'm a big fan of the VFR. It's a shame you had to put it down for good.
I'd rather be riding right now!!!

The closest thing I've seen was a guy from Italy posted pics of a XR650L that had a single sided swingarm over on TT. I believe he used one off of a Ducati. Cool looking bike WG!

I'm amazed at everyone's....well,....amazement.

I like mick's idea of VC5R. Has a good sound to it.

The gray market underground story is clever. Most people wouldn't think it was BS anyway. Nice one.

The bike was positioned so the temporary splices in the swing arm wouldn't show up in the pics. I chopped up the swing arm to make it fit the frame. It came from a crashed bike so no actual VFR was sacraficed, Skid.
The CR pivot bolt is 17mm, the bearing races are 19mm. I'll be spending time on the lathe next.
I'll post pics as it progresses.

I did most of my welding today:

Mag wheel cleaner will dress it up nicely.
The welds aren't pretty, I was concentrating on penetration and strength.

Imageh.

Thanks again,
Gene.
