I'll be visiting with my elderly mum soon and I'll get her recipe for something she used to make for us which made the spam a bit more palatable. She called it a spam slam ! I'll post it up soon.

Oh my gosh the thought of any of the stuff just mentioned coming back up for the second time after drinkin all night.........

I ate a few slices of "a yard-o-beef" after drinkin and it was the worst thing I've ever barfed, but tasty when I was off my rocker.


But I do want to try the tomato and beer mix at least once now.

I recommend one of the 5.5 oz cans of tomato juice to one beer, served in a frosty beer mug.

from the military precence. Anywhere you had a lot of US military stuff going on in the mid 20th century spam became very common. MFDB was telling me about this since he grew up in HI and won't touch spam now
