I spent the day at GPR stabilizers. I was impressed with the operation. 14 CNC machines pumping out stabilizers and mounting kits. Awesome communication with customer support.
In fact, Randy the guy I dealt with at GPR, claims that his sponsor in '85 gave him the second water cooled cr500 in the country.
Anyways, long story short
I took my stock upper triple to them for some R&D.
They came up with a submount kit for STEELY 500's
If your interested, give them a call at 619.661.0101
or visit the site http://gprstabilizer.com/
these guys actually answer emails and IMO went above and beyond for 500's the world over.
Let them know what you think

The price looks to be pretty close to what a Scotts sells for, too, with a much cleaner mounting scheme.

I've never ridden a bike with one, are these the cat's ass for our 500's? I finally stopped riding like a complete flaming vagina and have got a bit of head shake on my CR at the dunes, but I didn't find it too objectionable yet.

From what Ive read the scott is a far superior damper also.

the only bennifit to the scotts is the free return to center. It doesnt dampen on its way back to center.. where as the gpr dampens ALL the time..
