...seeing as it's not my 500.

But here is a video of my first ride in the woods on my new YZ here in North Idaho. This is the Chilco Pk Trail. Kick ASS fun trail!

You might want to turn the audio down as the wind noise is really bad.

Although I like the forest, somehow that makes me feel closterphobic? I guess that can happen when all we have is open desert and no trees on the track.

I didn't know you were from Northern Idaho Mojo? I'm from Lewiston. Frequently trail ride up behind Tensed, St. Maries, Kendrick, Clarkia, Orofino, Laird Park and a lot on the North Fork of the Clear Water. I go up to Spokane every now and then to ride at the Airway Heights track, but it's a little tiny for a big bore. Sucks for me that I only get to enjoy those trails anymore when I'm on vacation.

The trail in your video reminds me of one near Laird Park. Where is that Chilco Peak Trail at?

I grew up in Spokane Valley, moved to Everett 16 years ago, and just moved to Rathdrum at the beginning of July. That Chilco Peak trail is just Southwest of Silverwood (between Sandpoint and Coeur d'Alene). I knew there were trails to ride a bit further south, but never knew anyone who knew where they were. I would love to go check them out.

cool spokane guys!

i was just up there last week. you gotta hook up with Glen from Shoshone Honda! (pinehurst, idaho) I used to work there. those guys ride all the time. glen is a great character.

wish i knew you were up there.

Lots of great riding up the coeur d Alene river. and closer to you, liberty lake trails up to signal point and Mica Peak. super sweet single track.

How are you making a living in Rathdrum!??!
