I bought a 97 CR250 but it does not have a front suspension.

What other years of Honda forks will slide into my existing triples?

97-01 should be a direct swap from what I have read, but I think I can use up to 07 CRF 250/450 set ups if I use the newer front wheel and brake.

Can anybody confirm that?
I figured I might as well go with newer forks if they fit the triples.

97 was the first year for the twin cartridge on the cr250. the best way to go is with 97 or newer 250 forks. the 500s didn't change when the 125s and 250s did.

i believe the forks from 89-on will fit, but the twin cartridge are WAY better. you can use a wheel/axle from a 95-on and i think the caliper is the same from 95 on.

a lot of people get the '05+crf forks and put them on there since they bolt right into the triples and just require some messing around with the front axle and brake caliper bracket. If you can get the whole front wheel and brake assembly to match, you'll be fine, otherwise, I think '03 and older completely interchange. in '04 they changed the front brake and axle stuff and in '05 they made some internal changes to the forks.
