Amago 4/23

Post by redrocket190 »

Old school rough, like Carlsbad used to be. Bumps, pot holes, deep sand in the tight corners and even slabs of rock poking through. Great weather, hardly anyone there, no dust. Lots of nice big table top jumps, and some great blind drop-offs. There was one long section of up-hill sand whoops through which the 500 pulled like a freight train - I just hung on. The vet track is still awesome with all its ups and downs, but I don't know why they don't do more with it. Bike ran great, although I am confident it's jetted rich and going to try the DCN needle and a smaller pilot. I also confirmed I am a bit fat to be riding MX on the X-spec suspension so I have some stiffer Factory Connection springs to install. Simply rode until I couldn't hold on anymore. Bottom line: perfect mental health day.

very nice, sound just like apex here! I love the brutal stuff after a few months of nothing but sand :D
why are you running a C length needle, for our carbs, the middle G is the canstant becasue the needle length shouldn't change. Like DGN CGJ EGK, etc. that might help with your tuning problems
the DG series needles work very well, I've run DGN and DGL and DGJ, the L works well in cold temps in the sand, I use the N everywhere else

Thats good to hear. Haven't been there in some time. The vet track in the trees is cool. But they never got enough water on it when I was there.

Craig from Vet X stop by at GH today. If Pala ever opens its possible, so a little birdie told me.
