Is there a climb this year? They don't have it posted on their site.

Nope not kidding. I stopped riding Billings and the Widow back in 2004 for my own personal reasons, but good luck to you this year.

Tear it up!

Bumped? I don't understand your question? I chose to stop riding those events when the NAHA wanted to change the classes and format of racing, similar to the AMA Hillclimbs. The promoters at the Widow and Billings want to keep things the same as it has been since the begining of time because it works for them and pays the bills. It's all good, different strokes for different folks, "Freedom of Choice". I'm happy with the decision I have made and will remember the great times I had at those events back in the day. Time to move forward!

in 2005 and 6 there were a lot of riders and some couldnt get into the 0-700 exhibition unless they were gold members of the w.s.p.h.s. so they were bumped into a weird extra exhibition class, so a few guys i know said they werent coming again, i thought that was the reason..

Sounds pretty political to me. :? At the NAHA Pro Hillclimb events you pay a membership of $50, pay a one time fee to ride on Saturday for the qualifier, if you are good enough to make the top 30 in the Open Ex, 700 Ex. classes and or the top 10 in the 450 Ex, you ride for free in the Main Event on Sunday in which ever classes you entered. If you place in the top 5 at a event you are automatically qualified for Sunday's Main at the next event. For example I won the 700 EX last season, finished 2nd in the 450 and 11th in the Open Ex. So, at the season opener at Carnegie I will only have to qualify on the 950. :D I prefer depending on my rider ability to get me into the show to ride against the best, rather than what category a promoter is going to put me in and deprive me of what could possibly be a great opportunity to showcase what I got. Especially if it is advertised as a PRO event.

wow that sounds like the best way to go, i have never made it to a naha event, but i agree it should be based on your skill and riding. not favoritism or how much money you "donate" in to the "organization"
