Replaced stator and primary coil now hard to kick

Replaced stator and primary coil now hard to kick

Replaced stator & primary coil now when I kick it kicks back and never has any ideas what's going on? Wondering if anyone has experienced this

Did you set the timing marks correctly on the stator?
The four stroke engine: That's one stroke for producing power and three for wearing the engine out.

Yes both marks are lined up my son was in garage the other day think he may have messed with kick start no plug in it so would have kicked over easy. Could that have something to do with this
