I'm actually running one of these on my YZ250 and absolutely love it.
First tire I love the performance of, AND I got 3 full seasons out of the first one. It outlived my front tire.

I CAN'T recommend it for the 500 though. It hooks up too well and you'd spend all your time laying on the ground behind the bike.
It took some serious adjustment for me. The first ride I went on, I blipped the throttle to lighten the front wheel over an obstacle and it launched me forward and I blew the corner behind the obstacle and ate it.
The flexible sidewall is freaky riding any kind of roads. Feels like a flat wobbling around, but hit the throttle and you're lookin at sky.
Yeah, sorry. This post is completely irrelevant for a CR500 rider, but maybe someone will appreciate it.
