85 motor/gen 4 frame

Post by paddy's lad »

Here is my just completed cr500 conversion.
I got a lot of info from this site so thank you for that!
My brother & I built two at the same time, mine is an 85/05 frame
His is an 85/06 twin pipe frame( last pic )Eric Gorr mods
I rode mine for the fist time last week & it pulled like a freight train.
Cheers, Pat

I like the black engine, looks good. What hell are you running on the back, looks like a 52 tooth or maybe it's just the pic that makes it look huge!

Yah, it's the original gearing on my sons 250f
It is a 52 thing is on the track it doesn't feel that bad
Bear in mind, I only have 1.3 hours on it.
Eventually run a 50 or so, just need to spend more time on it
First ride was jetting/ ride/ more jetting you know the drill!
Thing pulls like a freight train in any gear.
I spend a lot of time in the upper gears anywho.
Cheers, pat
