Hi all,
I just picked up a real clean 2004 CRF450R supermoto for a 500 conversion. It's plated, and I'll keep it that way, but my primary use for this bike will be to run it on the tighter road courses along the east coast, like NY Safety Track, Summit Point Shenandoah and Jennings.

I'm looking for info on what all is needed to get the 500 in this 2004 CRF450 frame, so any advice would be much appreciated. I've created a thread specifically for that here:

The bike as it sits now:

What I plan to do with it:

Thanks all. Great site. Can't wait to get this build under way.

Nice! many street guys say the 1997-99 frame is more rigid in the head flex and prefer that AF over the others.

That's interesting, but sucks since I have no title for this bike. My CRF however is already titled and tagged in my name/state. After I pull the engine/carb/electronics/exhaust I plan to either part out or sell the '99 rolling chassis. Not sure yet which one.
