This is one of my custom mods I have done to my Cr500 A/F airbox. More air= More fuel= More Power :wink: . What do you think of it :?:

looks good, if it were ne I would think about getting some foam inserts that you can clean, oiling would be optional depending on whee you are riding.
Gen 2 AF, yes it's a SH, so I can call it an AF Damm it!

I like it, I have been scheeming the same setup, have some sheets of "outerwares" filter screens to go on the outside of my mesh tho.

btw, I cut the front from the filter box and used the 1991-01 cr125/250/500 filter housing and the 500 boot, eliminated the sealing issues of the face mounted af ones

In the old days, on our Yamaha's we would use a layer of foam between an inner and outer screen. You could wash the airbox and clean the additional venting at the same time.
