My GEN 5 is stolen

Post by killtman »

Hi Guys,

Some motherfuckers stole my bike on the night of 25-26 of november (this night) in Belgium.

So for the guys from Belgium, France, Netherlands, Luxemburg, Germany... If you see my bike on an internet add or on some kind of motorcycle forums, thanks to let me know.

The engine case is cracked around the kick starter axle, so the engine is not running.

More pics at request.

Thanks, Guys.

Terribly sorry to hear that kiltman, that is a lovely ride I hope you get it back in one piece. No matter where you are in the world there is fuckers who take what is not theirs. I think lots of us have had bike stolen over the years and it makes you feel sick to the stomach. Hope your laws are tougher on these bastards than ours. Feel for you mate.

Holy fuck seriously? I hope they wrap the van they loaded it into around a pole at 150 km/h because they were too stupid to slow down. Sorry to hear that kiltman. Maybe join VitalMX.com and put the word out. Lots of Euros on there.

Thanks for your support, mates! I don't think that I will find it back, altough a lot of friends tell me that the bike will rise back one of these days. And as there's not a lot of Gen5 AF, I will easily recognize it.

However... I don't want to think that I will get it back back some day, so at least I can only have good news if it happens somehow.

I was planning to buy a lot of stuffs and cosmetics together with the engine cases : wheels, magura hydraulic clutch lever, aluminium tank, batfly front and rear rotors, titanium pegs, Boyesen clutch and ignition covers, PWK carb, Boeysen reed valves, ... quite some money.

Fortunately, they stole the bike right before I ordered...

So far, I don't know if I will find the will to start up a new 500AF conversion again. It was my second one and I'd like to build something even more unique.

I think about using a YZf 250 and to put a YZ 250 in it. So I won't try to clone my stolen bike.
Most probably, I will do another Gen5 (or Gen6!!! ) 500AF conversion later.

That would be great. Start a 500 AF out of a 2013 CRf... Should I?

Yes, I should....

I will keep you posted, guys.

I'm living in the area of Liège and work in Maastricht. If you're from the south of NL and need some help with your conversion, don't hesitate to ask

I really like your conversion, don't give up.
