Uncles Passing
Yeah I haven't been here much lately and haven't mentioned My Uncle of 89 years passed July 17th. The service is in Tampa FL. and won't be until the Sept 28th. Mostly because there friends are snow birds and are not flying south until mid September.
He was a good man, helped my mother a lot after the divorce, gave her loans to put me through automotive school. Convinced me to join the military, hence AF, gave me a job at there Goodyear store in Palm Springs until he wanted me to do something to better with myself. Mc Douglas AC / Boeing.
Passed in his sleep but was having heart trouble, was on the third pace maker.
The day before he was feeding the squirals outside his room, 3pm and said he was going to make 90 yrs. His B-day was the day after mine 3/15. Five hrs later was gone. My brother call just as I was going to bed. Needless to says I didn't get much sleep that night and still went to work. Boeing dosen't do berevement? I now Bob, for Uncles.
RIP Uncle Vern
Thanks in advance, I'm ok I don't really need it.
I was lucky. My stepfather was good to me. When I was still in high school there were times if I had a day off he would take me on his route for the day delivering and on occasion repo freezers. As a result I learned LA freeways and that has stuck with me ever since. Now I look back and my parents were just trying to keep me out of trouble.
He's 88 now and not doing to well and pretty much cant leave the house.

At first the middle pic looks chopped, but no its real. Right on!
One black one was up on the bank... the guide said it weighed 22 kilos ( 45 lbs)
Looked like Godzilla, laying down.
Hope it made you smile a little Steve, loss's are hard to take.
