Getting all my bearings put in and having trouble getting the spherical bearing out of the linkage, any tricks here? It is supposed to just press out isn’t it?

It's been years since I've had to replace one but I wanta' say I used a socket, a bolt and a nut.

The socket has to be big enough for the bearing to draw in to it. Run the bolt through the bearing (with washers if need be) and through the socket. Put a nut on it and tighten the nut while holding the bolt with a wrench.

It will draw the bearing out and can be used to draw the new one in.

I was working on the shock but the same should work for the linkage. Of course, if you have a press then, yeah, you just press it in/out.

From the other board "Some of them have a circlip there. Check it out carefully before you get too crazy, mang. ;)
That was it! Sneaky little hidden clips! My new Pivot Works bearings do not have new ones, are they really required?

On top of that now I can't find any place to get under the clip to pry it out!!!

I use a dremel with a small bit to cut a little channel so I can slide a pick under

Schweet, sounds like an easy enough way. I assume that these are much more re-usable than the ones for the wrist pin.

As long as you dont cut them with the dremel they are fine.
