feels good to represent the real open class

got there wednesday, there was no riding allowed other than the race... that sucked but insurance reasons....
helped ribbon some stuff and walked a bit of the course, most of the ground is as hard as a rock, and theres cactus everywhere
the night before the race i go to bed early, found out my "2 man" tent is 5 X 4? dosent even fit a kid >:( so i wake up at 1:30 in the morning a crazy storm drops by, i wake up soaking wet and theres ktm tents flying everwhere, bikes knocked over......
for the 2 hour qualifier im going all out cause i want to make sure i get in, did 4 laps and got a spot right on the front row, leaving me 45 minutes to change my airfilter, scrape the clay out of my footpegs and eat a bit before the race starts
your only allowed to get help from another rider, unless your going to the hospital, so you need to carry some tools
burning hot out and real tired so i go slow to try and save a bit of energy, riding sloppy crashed hard and hurt the bike a bit but still had lots of fun and did decent
really cool watching graham jarvis ride, amazing rider
will be back next year better prepared and hopefully do better
heres the crash, lucky i didnt get hurt and had a spare brake lever, the foot peg is toast, and something in the front end is messed...
im amazed the flexxbars are still straight, but it feels like one of the bushings exploded or something, they should be cheap tho
coulda been a lot worse, on guy broke his bike in half
lots more on the way
