Hi everyone,

I have been looking on here for a while and have finally got the cash together to buy a cr500 to convert my crf250 gen 4 roller, I live a couple of hours out of Perth in the Wheatbelt and have been riding trails in and around my area for the past 10 years. I like the wealth of knowledge on the site and hope to add to it with some usefull and at times usless info.

Hope to see some of you out on a ride one day.

Cheers,[/img]

Cheers Gregrobo,

Have been collecting bits for about 6 months now and finally got some cash together to buy a cr500 doner. i will try to post some pics of the build going forward but with 2 kids and a mortgage can make it drawn out.

sorry Bob haven't convinced my wife to shed the gear for a pic, but my son was all over a sit on the bike.

Yeh Gregrobo you are more than welcome,

We run the motto, the more the better in our area, have had some great day rides about 2 hr north east of town, head out friday and camp then ride single tracks for upto 150 km loop and then get on the juice. have had up wards of 14 riders of varying ability, I will be the only 2 stroke rider when I finish, sold my Husaberg to help finance the CR500 conversion. the rest of the other boys are on 4 bangers.

Cheers,

Cheers Gregrobo,
I would like to go to Kal for a ride and I'm sure the boys would be too , It would be a tuff gig to watch from the sideline though ( may have to borrow a bike), Thanks for the offer to do the frame, there is a welder within the company i work for that seems to have good tig skills or his ally work looks neat and tidy anyways, so I'm going to see how he goes but if he looks like fcuking it up I would be happy to pay you to weld it up.

Hi all,

Just updating my location, was in the Wheatbelt but have recently moved to the city to take a promotion within the company I work for. When i changed my email and info I seemed to slip into the unknown and was unable get back on line on the site, all is good now thanks Bob, I had to pack up my incomplete conversion and put it all on hold while we all got settled in to the change of pace. I have just started chipping away again and will try to find my original build post and add it in there.

I also have an appology for one hoon that contacted me just before i changed my details, he was wanting the airbox template I made, I misplaced the details to send it and couldn't log on to get the pm with his details, for that I'm sorry Champ. if you still would like it pm me and I will send it out.

Wyalkatchem eh!, liven in Aveley myself. I did live in Wylie for a bit in the late 90's worked at the JD dealer on the corner of the main street.

hit a couple of stumbling blocks with the build at this point and limited time with the all the Field days going on this time of year, hope to have the crank sorted for next week end so i can get the bottom end back together.

definately keen to go for a ride and catch up, plenty of good riding out there in the wheatbelt. have you ever riden the WestMoto Park in Wylie??
