max comp

which is the maximum of compression (in cc's) for cr500 combustion chamber, which runs on race gas (114oc pur with nitropropane mix)

I don't see why 18:1 isn't reasonable, as long as you use an iKat and Coolhead.

Maximum compression cc's is 491, it will run very nicely with any mix of race gas and nitromethane.


However I dont agree with the above post, I think the roost boost is the only way to get a spark hot enough.

Im not sure of the CC's but with a compression tester if you are blowing 180-185PSI your doing good. mine requires 50/50 race gas/92 at 180PSI

When you mix gasoline with nitromethane you get goo, and it wont run...... so whats the difference?

nitropropane mixes with gas...
the 450 will have less power and will be harder to start, and will be heavier, but to make up for it it will require more maintenance.

only difference i could ever find was the squiggle on top the piston :confused:
