I had Dunlop D606s on my DRZ and they worked ok in just about everything but mud. They did surprisingly well on the street. Thinking of trying them on my plated CR5 (though I don't think they will grip as good as they did on the DRZ).
What are you guys running for tires on your dual-sport CR5s?
What tires do you run on your plated CR500?

tires
Back when I was running 18/21 on my steely, I ran Avon Distanzia. Suprisingly decent on dirt roads and sticky on the street for the amount of life I got out of them. Was getting them greasy hot on the kart track though.
If if doesn't kill you, it hurts like hell.

I'm running Maxxis non DOT tires on my af.
I don't think Ill be able to renew with non DOT.
I'm running a Pirelli MT-16 on the front of the XR-650r, & I like it.
Running a Terraflex on the rear, but I need to consider others.
It's a 140/100-18

Since I have a dirt-only CR5 and a dual sport bike, I decided to go supermoto with my plated '97. I ordered Contiforce SM tires and Warp 9 motard wheels from Motostrano last week.

I have Metzeler 6 days extreme's on my KTM.
They aren't bad on the street, but after a couple outings off road with them I am looking for something better.
I hear the Kenda trackmaster is a good rear for off road riding, so I think I may end up with one. I am a big fan of the Kenda Millville and Washougal tires, so I figured I'd give the trackmaster a try.
I may just end up going with non-DOT tires, but I'm worried about the local city police giving me grief.
