Damn, thats not even a Healey anymore!! You kept the body and part of the frame...That is a nice set up though! Any specs on what you're running?

This one has a 331 stroker from a 289 or a 302

Image

This one has a 260 from a 64.5 Mustang (or so I was told)

IMO the Healey is the best looking roaster of all time!

Awesome cars!! Makes me really miss mine now! :(

1004RD - LOL!!

The 3000 even kept the radiator! And they both retained knock-offs? I figured the torque of the V8 would cause issues with those....

I knew about Cracker's Healy, now all these others?
CR 500's and Healy's, what's the deal?
Is there some weird connection?
I had a 1965 Mark III 3000, BJ8.

If I could find a nice clean roller, it would be my next build (healey that is). It looks like the next one will be a '72 240Z however......and it might just get a 289 transplant too!

Anyway, back on topic (sorry UC).....

Bob the air boot is a non issue. I just had to get busy with it...

We went through Crackers donor motor last night.

Found a partially seized Wiesco...what else is new?

Wet sanded all the black death off w/220.
Relieved the bridge
Drilled the skirt
Got the 2nd ring unstuck
.....Reassembled

Blew 135psi with sneakers on... seems ok.

I think he's going to finish assembly this weekend, do some kind of test ride ASAP, and try to make it to HoonFEST'08 with me.

Bike looks good...... toss up some photos..Cracker!
