And here is another modified 747 freighter called the Dream lifter. It's a 400 that has been altered to carry 787 parts. It fly's in and out of Everett so you may have seen this one also at one time. It reminds me of a Baluga whale.
I have seen that one too. Big ass plane. This one just started flying by also:
I have heard rumor that when they do the revamping on Fairchild, they are going to divert the aircraft to Moses. That will be bitchin'. They bring the EA-6B's through all the time for touch and goes pretty cool. When it gets dark they bring in some fast and loud planes but you cant see them. Prolly FA-18's
You must live in a really cool place to see those things flying in and out.

I hear they have orders for 7 of those 747's going to private party type's. Phuckin Arabs...I've been to Dubai enough to see that shiot over there. I know a dude that flew a 747 for some guy there that had a hot top mounted on a platform so it does not spill, has a stipper pole in it as well. I think I could that big pig for ahwile just for the entertainment factor....

Hell I could hardley fit in the damn planes. I flew to Scagway AK on a puddle jumper, the pilot was cracking up the whole time cause my knees were in my chest
Correct. Military Aircraft are identified by MDS (Mission Design Series)
Example: KC-135A Stratotanker
K=tanker missions
C=transport missions
135=design number
A=Series of the design
so it is both a refueler and cargo transport and can do so at the same time. It carries 200,000 lbs of transferable fuel and 83,000 lbs of cargo. I tried posting a pic of an aerial refuel of my f-16 from the boom operators seat (they actually lay down) over key west but it can't get it to upload. It's pretty cool to watch and unbelievable how fast it is. depending on the configuration, block and model our 16's would take on about 5000 lbs (about 750 gallons) up to 12,000 lbs (about 1750 gallons) in a matter a couple minutes.
Thats awesome Shane! Like I said, not an aircraft pro, just like to see the planes, especially the military stuff! I like learning stuff like that as well. Those F-16's are badass little dudes. Sounds like you serve or have served? Thanks for your service

Yes sir, I did, Active Duty Air Force Staff Sergeant for 6 years then to Flight School. I have been a gear-head and loved aviation ever since I was a little child so I called the recruiter when I was 16, enlisted when I was 17 and left for basic training 9 days after I graduated high school. I even had my 18th birthday in basic training. If you ever have any questions about aviation I will do my best to answer what I can. I was an F-16 Crew Chief so my job was to learn that aircraft inside and out. Thank you for your respect towards vets!
