Modern Edumacation

Post by hoofarted »

I know this has been mentioned before, but I feel compelled to share with ya'all. IMO todays schools are pretty much brainwashing and conditioning our kids to follow the liberal democratic idiocracies. In walking thru cocksucker (Blockbuster) to select a new video for rent with my 15YO son, he spots the movie, "Che" - a documentary (I assume) about neo-Marxist, communist revolutionary, Che Guevara. He gets all excited and wants to see it. I say no, then ask why. He thinks communism is "cool" and that it will happen once the current democractic capitalist structure fails - he was certain. I wanted to punch him. I know - wouldnt do any good. Kid has no fucking clue! Personally, both my parents came from eastern Europe which was under Soviet control at the time. They knew first hand the ill effects - and handed me stories - not good ones about everyone struggled and dreamed of escape, etc. It just really chaps my ass to think what these asshole teachers are embedding in our childrens' minds to even remotely consider the acceptance of communism/socialism. Just goes to show why they think the current administration is so cool.

Rant over now.

 I'm gonna smack that boy upside the head next weekend!
yeah, schools are rediculous. Maybe those teachers would love it if the best thing they could personally own would be a bicycle  and maybe they would love it if the schools janitors made the exact same amount of money as they do after all their years of experience. They talk about how great it is until they have to stand in bread lines. I say we send them all to china so they can work in a factory making plastic kids toys for like $1/day and live in a hut! :x god damn it, I'm getting more angry about it the more I think about it! :x

I know 3 people i went to shcool with that barely made it thru grade 12 that started as gym teachers or selling shit in the canteen that are now grade 4, 7 and preschool teachers.
hell the language arts teacher got in cuz her mother was a teacher, no other reason or training required. I spent a week or 2 kicked out of school for defying her and prooving her wrong on many occasions

i got failed on an exam over grammar and some other shit, i took my paper, ripped the mark off the corner and my teachers mother who was substitue teaching another class down the hall graded it at over 90%, said it was one of the best she'd read. That got me a lil break, not for proving her wrong, but for disrupting class, leaving without permission and interupting another classroom. Whatever, the super indtendant and i had a good chat in the office for an hour or so about bikes, cars and tits before i got my vacation.

Must be a Cali thing. I teach 5th grade here in a rural town and it couldn't be any farther away from what you guys are describing.

There is a Belgian saying that if you are young and not a socialist you have no heart, but if your older and not a conservative you have no brain. Wait until he gets a job and sees how much is taken to pay for socialist policies and he'll wise up pronto. By the way I use conservative here in the traditional small government sense, not the statist approach of the last 8 years.

I wrote a paper when I was in middleschool that got me a failing grade. The assignment was to write about a great leader. In my mind that meant a very convincing person or great public speaker type. Basically a good leader and not great as what they did for society. So I wrote about Hitler. Anyone who could talk the country into doing things that he had done must be a great Leader. Failed miserably... Ah well, I just told the teacher they should have been more clear with the instructions. Everyone else wrote their papers about Abe Lincoln I think.

Not really on the subject but thought I would throw that in.

I am a school administrtor and the liberal teachers/school district employees drive me crazy. I am surrounded by them daily, and their ignorance/stupidty is scary. When I am in the classroom doing observations and evaluations the liberal crap they spout is shocking. I do my best to restrict them to the facts, and let the students sort it out themselves, but I can't be in the classroom all the time.

What I find interesting is that they all hate and criticize NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND and bitch about it constantly.

About a year ago I was at a meeting surrounded by employees from the Office Of Public Instruction. They were doing their normal bitching about NCLB, I just sat quietly listening. One of them asked me what I thought.

My inital response was, "you don't really want to know", however
upon further prompting my response was....."It's your own fault."

Looking shocked she asked me what I meant. My response was the following:

You're all liberals and consistantly vote Democrate and pormote liberal agendas, your unions contributes $ to the Democaratic party to support Democratic candadates and therefore liberal agendas which includes increasing government control. You shouldn't be surprised that the agendas that you support would lead to the government taking control of education....and then screwing it up...............You caused it!!!!

They just sat there......abselute quiet. It was clear they had never thought of that, and they were unable to dispute it.

One thing I know about these people is that they will continue ignoring the facts for ideology. A hollow victory really.

I didn't really want to get started as this seemed to be a general teacher bashing thread. Well said.

nothing wrong w/ teachers in general, I had a couple great teachers that changed my life... I also had mr morris for speach and debate in high school, who actually covered the walls in his classroom with psycho liberal crap aboud gun control and poor people and abortion, etc. and he was always hard on the kids who took the right in their political debates  GOD he was such a tool!

There are definately some great teachers! Unfortunately, from my experience, there are more "tools".

I have nothing against teachers, but what I hear from one daughter in college and one daughter soon to be a Senior in HS almost makes me puke. And bless her heart, but my oldest isn't that sharp and repeats this crap she hears, where my youngest is constantly challenging what she hears. Teach what needs taught, but leave your politics and opinion at the door.

Like I said earlier in the thread, it's the Universities that breed this ultra liberal mindset in my opinion.

Not surprising considering this is in Lawrence, KS home of the very liberal University of Kansas, aka Gay-U.
