Pressing bearings
Pressing bearings
I am replacing the linkage bearings in a 94 and pressed the ones in the "triangle" section with the 2 regular and one spherical bearing with no problem. The “U” shaped part is giving me problems. When I look in there it looks like there is a section in the middle that has a lip preventing the bearing from sliding all the way through. Is this the case where these are machined without a straight bore or just an optical illusion? If they can slide all the way through I can just give it another go in the press!
Go that way real fast, and if something gets in your way...............
Turn.

while back i replaced all those bearings on my steely and couple of them were a pain in the ass. the bearing is a tight fit and then they get corrosion and it difficult to get out. i had to use heat and wd40. since its been a while back, i cant recall for sure but its seemed like there might of been retainer clips on some of them
