....actually suck. Especailly around the subtanks and the tubes for the hoses.
Finally found the other leak by the upper tube coming out. I don't know what there process is assembling one of these. Obviously low budget. Please don't tell me China.

Well you have a point. They're weak especially where the connectors are. Those fittings are barely attached - I'd say they were sweat fit like copper fittings are to one another.
The CR500 is an acquired taste. If you don't like it, acquire some taste...

No, but failed rads are not caused by heat, but by chemical reactions...
I think the Honda OEM rads are some of the best available.
I've only seen them fail from two methods...
Vibration ( bad crank bearings)
Corrosion ( bad chemical composition in the coolant)

It is a failure to stay upright. Which often causes Rad failure. Dual Failure

Also to note, I picked up a new one today, Gee how come the tanks have welds on them now.
Now if they just did the tubes coming out it would top notch.
