Ohlins shock for 87' CR500
Any suggestions on the going rate of this shock? Anyone have any experience with getting the older Ohlins rebuilt? Any help is welcomed!
Talk to Dewayne Jones. He can help you out as he is quite familiar with Ohlins.

The CR500 is an acquired taste. If you don't like it, acquire some taste...

I'm not saying cost isn't an issue but it's not like I'm gonna dump a bucket of money into the bike and sell it at the end of the season. I bought the bike to do an AF conversion simply cause I owned an 87' before and prefer the motor over the later ones. Once I got it and rode it, it felt like I'd never been without it. Like I was "home" so I made the decision to just restore it. I guess what I'm getting at is I don't mind throwing some bucks at it cause I'll most likely own this bike for some time. I did find an Ohlins and it's headed this way. The price was right and if it has to be totally rebuilt, I'm not deep enough into it to be mad about it since the Showa is in serious need of a total rebuild itself. I'll keep ya'll posted.
