Start with the "do-it-yourself" stuff. Get the right springs for your weight and terrain. Replace them and your fluids to see where you are. 80% of it is right there. It's not that hard. The first time may take you awhile, but just take your time. The next time will be a pinch.
No longer have a CR500.

Personally, I like the sound of all these guys, the thing I would avoid is big shops with revalve packages (like trail revalve, mx revalve, etc.) You want to take your stuff to a guy who will really pay attention to what YOU want and YOUR style of riding, weight, height, etc. The big shops simply can't customize and give you the attention as one guru in his garage will.

one thing Dewayne will do is polish the shafts, removing the nicks and burrs so they wont tear up your seals again.wastedyouth02 wrote:Yea did that but both of my fork legs have some nicks and are eatin my seals after about 10 minutes of riding so im gonna buy some new ones and just have em all revalved
The CR500 is an acquired taste. If you don't like it, acquire some taste...

Go to a guy who can work with you! Anybody who does suspension and is any good at it will hand polish your components and his tools should include these at a minimun!
And they should feel like butter!

Most of the big shops spend MANY hours testing. Little guys simply cannot.dannygraves wrote:Personally, I like the sound of all these guys, the thing I would avoid is big shops with revalve packages (like trail revalve, mx revalve, etc.) You want to take your stuff to a guy who will really pay attention to what YOU want and YOUR style of riding, weight, height, etc. The big shops simply can't customize and give you the attention as one guru in his garage will.
I;ve got Enzo revalved forks (w/ subtanks), and shock, and it is simply awesome.
