Is this safe to run? Minor head damage

Just picked up a decomp head and was not made aware it would come with repairs from a previous decomp valve install that ran from next to the plug into the dome. There's a lump of weld Ontop of the head and the filled in section where the hole used to be in the dome. There's also some minor damage in the dome I can feel with my nail, can I run this without issues? That won't become a hotspot will it? I haven't had alot of experience with issues like this but the guy that sold this to me didnt disclose that it was repaired from a previous decomp valve install or the minor damage in the dome. Should I be pissed? The head and valve install and custom squish hand mod for 93 octane was 425$ altogether not sure how I should feel[/img]

I don't think you will have any problem from the repair being a hot spot unless some carbon build occurs.

for $425 I would have expected a brand new head or at least let you know it was not. you could have bought a brand new head on fleebay for $115 I would think the mods you have would be less than $300? ya I'd be a little pissed

I know, I had to cut the squish for that head and fix the first weld his NASA welder buddy did and sunk the tungsten in the puddle

Is the squish mod the angle part that is cut on the head? Or is completely rechambered?

thanks for all the input guys! Its a little late in the game to send this back and wait on a new head from Roostius since I want to run the bike this weekend for the first time

I spoke with Sean and he did apologize for the head and gave me a partial refund for not disclosing the repair. In my eyes he made good on it.

Did he send the $300 by paypal, or money order?
