86 cr500 carb set up

Post by 02cr250r »

Hey there i have a 86 cr500 and im clueless when it comes to tuning. Its got a DG pipe and the current jets are: 168 main, 58 pilot, 60 slide, R1370N needle with clip on the fourth position down and i dont know what my mixture screw is set at. Im just looking for a set up that will make the bike perform good. I live in socal and my main riding ares are ocotillo wells, johnsn valley and occasional silverwood. If anyone can help it would greatly be appreciated. Thanks a bunch

Maybe someone from that area with the same setup can give you their numbers but, you should go to the drive section and read Bob's thoughts on jetting.
It's spot on, pun intended.
