What's all involved to convert

Post by 02cr250r »

Hey my names Matt live in Orange County. I'm curious as to what all is involved in converting a frame to fit a 500 motor. I have a 2002 cr250 and a 1987 cr500. I've looked through a couple how to posts on it and i really don't think I have the skills to hack up my frame and make the modifications. Do I need to buy and swap any parts or is it simply just modify the frame and drop the motor in? I have searched a little and probably should do more searching but I figure I'd post here for a little quicker response from all those who have done conversions or have conversions. I'm also trying to find a shop or someone who dose afc's in ca but no luck. Thanks

Also I have the fear of going to cut up the frame but cutting wrong spot or too much and trashing the frame
