Swapping out the Engine this weekend.

Post by reef »

Last month I bought a spare engine for the AFC.

The one in her now still runs, but I'd like to see how the new one compares.

I can't for see any major challenges, but I know I'll run into a few things.

The new engine has been ported, and polished and has a good size overbore. I'm fitting an Lectron carb that came with it.

I'm hoping this works like she should. I've had enough bad luck this year.

I also hope to have the new wheels installed this weekend. I'm still debating keeping her in motard trim.

Lectron = :bash:

Have a good selection of beer, or meds....... nearby.

Swap out the word "Electron Carburetor" for "Turboencabulator".... and your all set.

:wink:

Thanks too work that idea went out the window. I love being on call when I'm not on call (make sense).

Last night I broke down the carb. Everytime I turn on the gas it comes straight out the vents.

After breaking it down, and cleaning her top to bottom I wrestled the carb back into place.

Now the vents are filling with gas faster than ever. It used to stop after a few minutes, but not now. What a pain in the ass.

Back out to work on her.
