Here's a couple of my other bikes I've done up and/or own. the ct70 cost me about $6000 but I made it a 75mph machine.

crf450 streeted and just converted to supermoto (hence the loose chain)

still working on this one after delays on other projects. CRF250X motor weighs 60lbs, 91 CR500 wieghs 58lbs, I thought the difference would be more but losing weight is always good

Thinking of sending the frame to animalpower500.com Any one have experience with them. Semms well worth the $1200 to have them do it all

From what I've seen by animal power they have used square tube without the radius corners, which may work but isn't as clean. If I was getting someone else do to my frame I'd be talking to paul stoffers or solid bro, there are lots of pics of their work and some really nice problem solving they have done on different build throughout this site.
I bought motor mounts from Paul and in that dealing he seemed like a top notch guy, great parts, fair price, and shipped as soon as I paid.

This thing is finally starting to come together and the motor fit in nicely. MXbogger from this site did all the work and did a great job. Pics to follow soon. So I bought the pwk carb, do I need the kx500 cable and throttle set up?

thanks

service honda cdi

Post by Jeff4510 »

So I have a brand new sh cdi with the dc output so this bike can have lights but no wiring diagram. Anyone have any idea? SH has been slow to respond and not really helpful in any part of this build so far. I'm getting close to getting this done. Mike did a great job

Call Electrosport.... they made it.

http://www.electrosport.com/

S/H doesnt make anything..... and stopped selling them due to massive failure rate with them.

General question regarding rad hoses: since I'll need 90• bends in both the lines going to the head, what are you guys using?

stock or buy a kit from motohose. You can always put 90 outlets in the head as well.

gear shifter?

Post by Jeff4510 »

So I started her up tonight and she ran great but didn't have the chain on. So with regards to the shifter, the bolt comes up from underneath and it hits the frame and the shifter cannot go on with the bolt on as the shaft is slotted. Any ideas? Is there an aftermarket one that would work?

thanks! I'm excited, it sounded so crisp and clean but man what a bitch to kick over. Major compression
