What gas mileage do you get?

Post by bluegroove »

Hey I'm thinking of building a CR5 dual sport and wondering if the fuel range will be a problem. What kind of mileage are you getting?

running lean makes a big difrence
the 450 will have less power and will be harder to start, and will be heavier, but to make up for it it will require more maintenance.

I've gone about 55 miles on 2.25 gallons a few times in different conditions.

Throw in some deep sand, or some extended hills, and its down to 40 miles or so.

On this years Mega Loop enduro, I came in close to 26 MPG. Thats a mix of super tight single track, a little wider single track, fire roads, dirt roads and pavement. I had the PJ installed running 52, 172, stock needle on the 4th
