Its like defending ford pickups at a chevy forum, or vice versa.
The bottom line is that no one would be using the Service Honda company name or model names in conjunction with their ads to sell their other conversions, if i actually needed to defend anything.
There is no way to avoid that fact.
Bob can spit out his miss truths,insults at my family,, and deceptions all he wants it doesn't change that fact.
2. the price.
add the price of a current CRF250R and all the parts needed to
assemble a brand new CR500 engine, and other parts needed for the conversion,
subtract the possible amount you might sell the CRF250R unused parts for.
Until anyone here steps up and either does that ,or admits there is little margin at all at 11K ,that long debate is simply a moot point.
It is what it costs to assemble one,a fact.

That is far different than intentionally listing a converted off road motorcycle, with a CR500 engine,
as a Service Honda CR500AF in the ad's title.
If he isn't smart enough to see the difference and the reason it violates Ebays Terms of service, then he a bit more dense than i previously thougbt.
He is also far more hypocritical, if this was pauls situation ,
he would be all fired up about it in his own special way

Certainly AF is registered by Cannon as well for auto focus camera..?
and you won't see other cameras with the designation.
Regardless if other letters or numbers are placed in front of or behind them. Nikon wont call any camera they have a 350AF..or AF 350.. or AF 350 IT..Trademarks are specific to context.

and that yamaha cant come out with a motorcycle named a

Yes CR is owned by Honda. period(in the realm of motorcycles)
(and we are also a franchised Honda dealership )
i'm fairly certain the letters CR , or even KX, are registered to others in other fields of business.

The ad used a company name, that is hated here..and railed against pretty much endlessly..lol

Its been going 14 years or longer now, and i'm currently more busy than ever.
If I ever need to flip burgers to feed my family i certainly will..no problem at all..
