Imagine how much nicer that thing would handle if you get rid of that 33" mud bogger truck tire...Darrell262 wrote: i ride my ktm 300 sporting Tera Flex 150x90x18

I tryed a regular tire (its on the bike now) a 120/100/18 and i hate it.
I miss my tera flex. So I just bought a 140/90/18 usa made tera flex
Handling? Sure the 120 turns slightly better but other then that, I do just fine.
50% of my hp wasted? depends on how you see it. It single tracks AWESOME, it climbs loose sand/gravel hills AWESOME (we have alot of that here). it works on the hard pack, just not as good as my 120 does. I can still hold 3rd gear pinned on the hills. It wears a long time and as the knobs wear down it picks up wheel spin and works awesome on floating on the sand going up hills.
I wouldn't say my power is being wasted if it hooks up and goes. 14/52 gear ratio I run due to the fact that its taller then a reg tire. And this is on my ktm 300.
The only down fall of this tire is that braking sucks with it.
Oh, and when others spin and go no where, I let off and bog the bike and not spin the tire and it tractors over roots with ease.
I love my tera flex. I can't wait to try the 140 out to see how it works. I am betting it works even better then the 150 cause it should spin a tad more.
I am 300 pounds btw. and I call the tera flex the secret fatman tire which saves me in so many ways when I screw up. stopping on a hill and taking off again where my 120 would (and does) just spin and sit there.
Maybe you should try one.

Ahhhh, very important info there! Makes a lot of sense why the big tire works so well for you. I am a bit surprised it actually fits, does it hit the chain at all?Darrell262 wrote:

If its as heavy as it looks ill pass. I can notice a handling and gyro difference between an UHD and standard tube...Darrell262 wrote: Maybe you should try one.

Re: riding tips that made me better
OMG that's the most ridiculous example of an off road cluster fuck I have ever seen. That's embarassing. I'm ashamed to even say I ride a dirt bike after watching that video.2strokeforever wrote:#1 keep feet on the pegs unless you are 1/2 a second away from hitting the ground, standing helps lots, if you lose balance and HAVE to take a foot of the pegs put ALL your weight on the foot thats on the peg
#2 keep a few fingers on the clutch at all times, use it lots, even more
#3 know how to bail/not make a hill, ive had best luck with the deathgrip/ stay on the bike strategy, DO NOT FALL DOWNHILL
#4 stay in good shape, and drink LOTS of water the day before riding, i work piling lumber which has whiped me into shape in 6 months, i dont get armpump anymore even on a 500 , used to get it bad on my 125 last year even with the feather clutch, its cool to be able to go all out on tight st all day and do it again tomorow
#5 make sure your bike is working/jetted right
notice both feet of the pegs = fail most of the time prime example at 1 minute
if i get rich i will be definately going there... with my bike

we run 120/90-19 millvilles and southwick2s on my gen3 bikes, no problem throwing that wheel and tire on there. Hell i ran a teraflex on a steelie wheel and a adaptor axle on it no problem

Im running a 110-90-19 on my Cr250r and you have to tilt the wheel back and forth to get the tire past the brake caliper. Hooks up well enough to make the bike wheelie in the dirt (MX track) so anything bigger is a waste of unsprung weight and gyro...
