The CR500 is an acquired taste. If you don't like it, acquire some taste...

Yep, that was Metzgers rig. That was right before he got his new one.

Here is an artsy picture I took of my H1

Image[/quote]

That thing is gorgeous! I had a 500 triple drag bike basket case once. I think it was a 71 as well, I got it back together but never could get the chambers built, so I never rode it. SOLD it back to the guy that GAVE it to me. I bet he still doesn't have exhaust on it...

Did you have problems finding parts? I guess the Interwebs help, when I was playin with mine I couldn't find crap!

Thanks for the compliment, I have thought the '71 500s were cool from when I saw the first one, new on the showroom floor. I bought my first one used in the mid 70s. The modern paint looks a lot better than the original form Kawasaki.
As far as parts, there are some things that are impossible to get, like ignition parts, but others are available. Actually some parts are being reproduced because the bikes are getting valuable. Who ever thought someone would be saying that about a disposable Japanese bike!!
My wife loves the paint job on the Night Train.

I guess you could call it a wrap. It is a heavy duty water proof canvas that I got in a big sheet, then cut out what I needed and used Super 3M Adhesive spray to glue it. Around the fender edges I popped some rivets through for extra support. It has some flaws, but it seems to have held up pretty good so far. My plastic were kinda scratched up and stuff and I wanted to do something unique. I'm going to keep the Gixxer the way it is though.

Tell her thanks! I think it came out pretty good for Rhino Liner and sandblast stencil...

Here's a pic of my kid on her Husky CR125 at the helo pad out at Pine Valley. She's a pretty good rider now, I think she's ready for a 250
