Well Ok, so I went to Elsinore MX

Post by iggys-amsoil »

Haven't been on a track since March, so I knew this body was to last about 12 laps.

First, the make over they did to the place is really nice looking, not all trashed out with wire fencing and dead tires hanging on posts. A couple were mine. They also poured a long concrete drive from the street to the shack to get in.

$25 to get in and NO membership. Image

So I jus stuck the the Vet track but rode one cool down lap on the main just to see what I can't do. Um... K maybe I'll do more laps there next time.

The Vet track is Newbie friendly accept one double / trip, I could double it with more set time. I jus knew I'd be sore as hell the next couple of days and didn't want to add an injury to that.

To may suprise I did clear two of the tables, one was rather launchy and was starting to enjoy the hell out of it til the rear kicked left and my body was more on the left side than should be, but not enough to swap all over the place after landing. Also a couple of small step ups. One I had to seat bounce to get the front a least on top to clear, the other jus needed more speed coming out of the corner.

So a side from not being able to hang very long it was a good day. And one of those that reminded me of just getting the track dialed in, wanting to ride more but have to pack it up. Arrrrr.... I should go back this saturday.

I've said it before and here it is again, you guys out west just suck balls
I would REALLY like to ride Pala and Glen Helen. :)
I have discovered a pretty nice track close by that you can stretch your legs on.
Matter of fact, it's the 3rd stop on the outdoor national series next year.
