Stator side crank seal

How far should they be pushed in?

Do they bottom out against some thing?

Mine is about 4.5 mm in. I kinda thought it was supposed to be flush.

Gas Porting: http://www.wiseco.com/FAQs.aspx 14. What are gas ports and when should they be used? A. Vertical gas ports are primarily used in drag race applications. I thought the it was more about cooling the piston, but could be way off base on that one.

While you have the piston out try gas porting for better ring seal. I know that's been done with successes on the vertex.

Why do you supose the 2000 250 and 125 CDIs timing curves each flatten out at about 12 degree in the higher rpm, while the others continue to decrease advance?

I would think the high rever like the 125 would just keep loosing advance till the bitter end.

'02-07 cr250 radiators on clearance at RM

Do not know if they are any good of if the price is right, they sent me an e-mail because I have cr250 in my machine profile.

were 175 now 135

I don't need radiators, and prefer OEM, just putting this out there in case someone does

Looks like the time serts are the way to go. The decomps have a 10mm x 1 thread pitch. Same as road bike spark plugs.... so looks like there are alot of thread repair options for that size. its sold by wurth. A copper style sleeve that has a broach to size it in place. https://bannedcr500riders.com/...

stripped out decomp spigot

So I tightened a bit too much and stripped out the thread in the head where the decomp valve goes. Thinking some sort of insert style thread repair would be the ticket. 1) Any recomendations on which style insert to use and were to get? 2) Any idea on what thread pitch the decomp valve likely has? 3...

Did you mill out the swingarm bushings, or did you remove the 250F bushings and use those? I tried milling out some '88 bushings. They are hard as diamonds.

cr250 does the tire hit the pipe?

Has anyone checked. I know it is an issue with the 125. But just looking at my gen 2 cr250 it looks like it would hit. I know the gen 4 sh bikes hit slightly.

I would really like one that looked just like the OEM, but billet. The Service honda one comes to mind, minus the "service" and the "racing" although I could live with the racing. Considering getting one and tig up the "service"

*might* only if you go slow on the filing, only taking the high spots off and STOP when you get to the lows.
