I've seen them too lol. They think just because the car is only a "week" old with no miles that it's worth 98% of the price they paid or more.
And how do you decide that you don't like something that you bought new after a week in the first place  ?

You lose that on any new car 5 seconds from the dealership. I don't know of anyone who would buy a car just to trade it in the next day. The dealer is always going to lowball you anyways cause they are in it to make money.
Selling a car privately will help.

[quote="britincali"]That 08 charger sxt is worth about 15k.......[/quote

15k for a new 08 Charger SXT with 38 miles? It's not exactly a used car. Well maybe in the States, but I doubt it.

Here is a link to the dealer where I bought my car. If you look close when you open it you'll see my car in the lot. http://wellington.fivestardealers.ca/index.htm If you look around you will find an 08 Charger SXT with no miles going for 20k. The guy who delivered it scratched the PS door on the tr...

How I'm helping the Auto Industry

I have to say that even though we seem to be in some sort of recession it has worked in my favour. Work is busy for me and with the price of new cars dropping all the time I figured that I should take full advantage of the situation. So when I spotted this deal sitting on the lot(it's been there sin...

Too many people have been milking the system and getting away with it for years, and what we have now is the result. I know for a fact that a job at the Big Three is not hard and pays well. Why take advantage of an already good thing? I'd also like to say that the Suits in the Big Three are Far more...

I've got a lot of German friends and I would never associate them with hitler. Some of them fled in the 40s with only there lives and made a good life here in Canada. Every now and then there is an asshole, but you can't blame a hole race. I do believe that pimp is a little out of line posting that ...

When I came down stairs this morning for coffee my Dads first question was if I knew what happened on this day. Good thing I remembered or I wouldn't have had breakfast. My good friend has a 72 Javelin SST 360 4spd. We affectionately call it the BatMobile. It's a # matching car with black buckets and interior. I remember we had like five big guys in that car and when we took off from the lights there was nothing but tire smoke and gear shifting lane changes until we...

It's funny, you know. All this crap about improving a vehicles mileage and emissions: How can it be done with this shit gas? I also think(Know) car manufacturers are holding back on the mileage that new cars can get. Far as I can tell cars are no better than they were 15 years ago. Actually my 91 Co...
