This bike is beautiful. I come here and look at this thing almost everyday, it is the bike that made me ditch the streetbike idea to go forward with an AF. I ride dirtbikes and when I see this bike I gotta build one. Looks like the ultimate all arounder. You could hit the track, send that thing off ...

Need ya'lls opinion
Ok I am having a bit of a delima. Im sure y'all have seen my post and the bike I am building and the parts I have bought, have for sale, bought wrong parts ect. I think this bike would be really cool and have already sunk money into it. It would probably not get tagged and just be super fun to build...

1983 CR480 cylinder/head for sale
Bought the wrong parts for my project and have the right stuff on the way so someone take this off my hands! Cylinder- Has been sleeved, measures 88.25, has some minor grooving and would probably like a 1 step bore. All the studs are here and no broken fins. Looks to be in dang good shape to what I ...

People powdercoat there bikes all the time with no issues. This is a freak accident!0 they were excels and I never see people pc their spokes. I would think by nature spokes have to have some flex to them and if they get baked and can't flex they will snap. I haven't seen a wheel explode like that ...

Most of ya'll seem a lot more intelligent than your run of the milll MXer and have a better understanding of material strength/mechanical shit ect. I dont know why I didnt connect the dots on put...

I'm not throwing in the towel. I have never ported anything but women, so I figure having someone doing a proper job, documenting before and after is probably my best bet as far as not hacking up a cylinder and not knowing why or how it is performing worse than stock. Having someone do it right the ...

That rad lol. I was reading more of Erik Gorr's book today and Im getting a better understanding. Probably the best way to learn is run it stock with the jetting dead on. Then pull the jug and take measurements and photos and send it to one of the Gorrs trainees and then study it and ride it when I ...

alrite that all sounds good, you've got ambition. now i dont want to kill it for you but you're also going to put a cylinder with port timing meant for 76mm stroke on a 79mm stroke bottomend. You'll need a deck spacer forsure, which might help in the blending of the transfer port area (which is ext...

Yea, the the 750 is 4T. It was just on the valve cover, I was just playing around with my grinder. I polished it up really pretty and th casting marks just looked ugly. It was purley asthetic. And as far as adding material, I just figure you might if you were changing the shapes of the port. I didnt...

Porting tools/techniques

I noticed even with a fairly steady hand I was having a hard time taking an even amount of material off. For ...
