fyi, the spring from an 07 yzf 250 is the same od and id. length is a bit short, 3/4" or so. figue out the rate that is neede and order up a new spring. im running the ti yzf one now.

the 86 now has some ti pegs from an 06 yzf, easy swap. running a ti rear spring from a yzf as well, od and id are near spot on. spring is about 3/4" shorter than the stocker.

i ran a 90' cover on mine. quick access to the clutch, i didn't have any problems with it. i have some postings on here with my 86'.

if you miss out on this, i ran a 90 cover on my 86'. its a bit easier with the 2 piece cover and the larger oil fill. had no clearance issues at all. plus, i think it was only $120.00 or so new.

It's getting there slowly. Next big step is to mount up the pedal. I will use an 87' subframe with the bent leg to clear the master.

just a little update.

the 85' is coming along, i want to put in a new set of top end gaskets. it has a bit of seepage on the head gasket. at the same time i want to try and hot tank the rads to see if i can get them to clean up on the inside. other than some little odd and ends, im pleased with it.

the left radiator on the 86 still seems to be restricted ? the flush doesnt really seem to do much. what about CLR ? i have some but the jug says not to use it on aluminum ? any ideas out there ?
