50s
I rode my 50s more than anything else too. Broken collarbone put me out for a long time. Was in 6 pieces and had a bunch of other problems to go with it. Could ride the 50s one armed so I stayed in the game. Rode my '77 Z50 75kms in one day at the cabin. That's a longer ride than most days on the bi...

It's an alpinestars Bionic. Bought it from Hriancik racing in CA. Pretty helpful dude and he convinced me to order a M even though I thought for sure i'd be a L judging by the sizing chart on the alpinestars website.

Buck up and buy a neckbrace! Cheaper than a wheelchair
So after seeing a young kid get paralyzed at my local spot 3 weeks ago, that finally gave me the push to order up a neck brace before my annual trip to the OR dunes. Got it the same day we left. We drove 10 hours through the night, I napped for an hour and jumped on the old CR500. First day out ther...

Oregon dunes Jun 4-10
I'll be out there with the 500. There'll be two more CR500s, and 6 other 2 wheelers. Rented a house right on the dunes at Winchester bay, if anyone wants to come out there and pin it.

Right now i'm running all LED signals, tail, but a 55w headlight on the af motard. Using a SH ignition. It's output is fine, unless i'm in slow traffic for a long time. It's using DC of course and has a 1.3ah 12v batt. I have looked at some LED headlights online, but haven't seem em in person to jud...

This is from a search I did on a similar topic on a KTM site. It's good so you know how the cables compare year to year. Doesn't have all the answers, but gives a bit of help. My 01 cr250 has a steering damper, flexx bars, 2 inch risers. I used the 2000 250 cable run to my pwk and it works great. Th...

If you're running 17's, start around 14/40,39 and go from there. If i'm running long distance on more open highway, I go to a 15t, but in town 14/40 is pretty good all around.

So the guy put a fresh top end on a shit bottom end by the sounds of it. Sounds like nothing more than a cover up to make a sale. Still doesn't explain the small end bearing, but at this point it doesn't really matter. Piston kits don't come with a top bearing typically, so if the bottom was walking...

winding
Yeah nice work. I used the same thread to do mine before. Seems scary, but once you're into it, it's not bad at all, just take the time to wind it in rows as nicely as you can. The HID stuff mainly needs a decent battery for the initial ignition of the bulb. After that, they'll use less than a norma...

It works mint, shimmed it with some rubber/foam, and it fits snug under the lens.kball1313 wrote:When I built my 650R, I actually managed to fit an 1157 style led bulb flat under the stock lens in the fender.

lights
When I built my 650R, I actually managed to fit an 1157 style led bulb flat under the stock lens in the fender. That way I had tail/brake light all from the stock lens and used a four strokes only licence plate bracket. It keeps the plate high and far back so the tire doesn't rip it off. I cracked a...

I was thinking about this and I need to get a tach hooked up on the motard and see what rpm window it cruises at most before the twirp swap happens. That way I can send a fresh wiseco crank i've got in at the same time.
