haha not quite what I had in mind Bob. I've always like the RZ350 (Banshee) powered karts http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1BNXui5J3Tc My boss has an old Saab Sonett II: 3-cyl oil injected, but front wheel drive and shifter on the column. I'd buy it if I had 20k though [youtube]http://www.youtube.com/...

Two-Stroke Motor in a Vehicle

So you have a 2T motor, four cylinders 500cc each, and you're going to put it into something. I always thought an S2000 would be a good car to use. 6-speed, rear wheel drive convertible so you can really hear those four pipes!

What would you do?

Now I need a video of you lugging the bike a bit and then winding it out. My bikes only made that kind of sound just before I pop-started them.

Dual sport. It's easier to balance the tires without the rimlocks. And the tire pressures will be higher

Valve Stem Locknut Question

When I put the tube on the rim, there are two nuts for the valve. Do I place one nut on the outside and one on the inside of the rim? Or both nuts on the outside of the rim? I've seen it both ways and I'm not sure which is better.

Put the CR250 stator without lighting back in and it fired up no problem.

Soo, the lighting stator from Procycle is garbage. :? Oh well maybe I'll rewind it someday and try again.

Those are interesting lighting setups, but I'll be on the road too. Need something DOT-like. Ok so I decided to spin the stator around so the ignition is on the left and the lighting is on the right: http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r120/mbflower1/0128121731.jpg Now I got pops, but the damn thing ...

Got some parts today from Autolumination.com. One of these lights will go in the headlight DRL as mentioned in one of the previous posts. http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r120/mbflower1/P1230324.jpg Standard 194 bulb on the left: still works but getting ugly. A high-powered amber LED on the right ...

Got at least 3" of fresh powder on the ground and a street tire on the rear.... so roll starting is out for now. I am going to try the the 500 rotor instead of the 250 and see if it'll spin longer with each kick. It is a 6-pole stator. Three for ignition and three for lighting: http://i142.phot...

Here's a good question: What would be the best rear tire to drift with? Something as grippy as plastic and wears like steel?

edited the previous post for proper wording. I had an extra good ignition coil and I also tried it. Didn't work. The only thing I could get was one pop with the expansion chamber off, but wouldn't fire with it on. I think I'm giving up on this lighting unit. Going to try something else. Anyone have ...

Looks like Husqvarna. What size? Electric start?

Does this require all new off-road courses to be taken by the officers?

Meh, they'll probably get stolen and pawned by some meth addict :D

original stator- 165 ohms
pulser - 240 ohms

lighting coil stator- 37 ohms
pulser - 220 ohms
lighting stator coil (yellow and black wires) - 0.9 ohms

2strokef. didn't you have a similar lighting coil? What was your ohm reading for the ignition?

93-96 CR250 Lighting Coil Not Igniting Fuel

I have a 94 CR250 complete ignition and it works great. Next I bought a lighting coil from Procycle and for the life of me I cannot get the bike to fire with it installed. Gap is set correctly on the flywheel pickup. Carb is clean and fuel gets to the cylinder. Got plenty of compression. Tried a BR8...

Picked up this CR250 60W lighting coil for initial use. I've got other plans for a larger coil but this will work while I get the rest of the bike sorted.
