I love seeing the ads that say, "not for the faint of heart, not for beginners, not a starter bike, will not sell to someone less than 18, etc." If some tool has cash in hand and wants the bike..... it's gettin sold. You think a salesman at a dealership ever turned away a potential ...

Running 15/49 with a street tire on pavement: I use second gear and that will accelerate all the way out to 100ft with good clutch slipping to keep the front end down.

Also, it looks as though he cheaped out and only made the investment in a 0-30hp scooter dyno :lmao:

Possible guesses :?:
Scooters already have batteries and lighting coils

They mostly run WFO so tuning is easier

Maybe there's a larger demand for scooter performance in other countries

I like the idea of better fuel economy for my street-titled bike, but we still have the problem of not enough watts to run PFI and not drain a battery.

Rice-O-Rama

Not exactly a ride, but many ride to it. It's a bike show and swap meet for Japanese machines, and Chinese. NO Harley stuff. I'll be there selling.

How about a 30% mix of toluene to premium gas? That should get you to 97-99 octane depending on if premium is 91 or 93

Guess it would be another wall hanger - a bike that I wouldn't ride but keep it in my house hanging on the wall... if I had the room.

RM500?

Anyone have any experience with an 84 RM500? Seen one on CL and it looks pretty good but I remember the LT500 quad motors were not built very well, so I'm thinking this may be the same. http://images.craigslist.org/3n63p23of5Z25Q35R0b8f3c0510779a601772.jpg http://images.craigslist.org/3ma3p23la5Y25W...

I realize this is an old post, but I'm wondering what the outcome of this was? Is the Sneaker silencer quieter than the stock silencer?

That's interesting. So he was just selling the later model trans gears? You should be able to get those used a bit cheaper.

97 Conversion to Trail Warrior

Second time around for doing a conversion for me so I'm doing this one on the cheap. It mostly means that I'm going to do the wiring myself rather than buy a kit and parts will be second hand. First, the headlight: 55W Ray halogen with a low wattage DRL that I'm gong to replace with an LED http://i1...

100ft Holeshot Drag Races

So I decided to get in on some drag racing with the 500. The oval speedway near my house was running this: http://100footdrags.com/default.aspx . 100ft keeps the speeds down and I guess that equals out to be safer? My best time was 2.63 seconds on the tarmac with a stock bike running an intermediate...
