Roostius priced me one out of Canada about a year ago and it was about $100 higher than SH.

I've heard good stuff about MicroBlue too, but on the flip side I've also heard of them shattering when used as wheel/axle bearings on racecars.

Brit can keep is FAG bearings, I prefer my bearings not to be packed full of KY.

If you have an issue with getting the case from SH, it seems like Canadian dealers don't require the vin & engine number, however they would still come without a number tag.

I ordered a left case from SH a year ago after using info from someone else's bike. The left case came without any engine number at all. They use this info to check against stolen parts apparently.

It's not the beer talking

A man is sitting at home on his warm and sunny verandah sipping a beer.... as his wife watches he says,

"I love you."

His wife sighs and asks,

"Is that you.... or the beer talking???"

He replies, "It's me.............

talking to the beer."

My idiot sighting from just this afternoon... I'm working a sports show for the county developement commission. I look up and an 8 or so year old girl barfs across the aisle from me. We got ahold of building staff to have someone come clean it up. 15 minutes later, a guy comes along carrying only a ...

Looks like an 89.50 OEM piston to me. I probably wouldn't run it.

Is that a crack in the skirt on the intake side just to the right of center?

I think you were referring to the plug in the pic... who knows that that is. It's got some jb weld or other epoxy around it and was installed by Glen @ GSS. It works and doesn't leak, whatever it is.

The one I linked in my previous post is the one I used when I did it myself.

As stated in my first post in this topic, both original outlets were removed, then the holed drilled/tapped for 1/2" pipe thread. If you do this, don't used a tapered tap, get a bottom tap if you can, or the holes won't be tapped deep enough to allow the fitting to seal. I use a 1/2" pipe ...
