i ran into the same problem. my radiator was supposed to be ready to pick up today, but now they say it'll be ready tomorrow. i don't even want to know what they charge... the only other thing left to do is wire the bike up. it can't be THAT expensive to get a radiator shop in your area to plug the ...

just in case, i'm thinking i might throw a 178 or 180 main in it. i really don't want it to lean out and put a hole in the piston. anyone know what the stock pilot is so i can pick up one a little larger? the bike should be done by thursday night, so i need to get one asap.

well, the bike is coming along. that's about the only update i have. one week left to get it done and have it running good enough for the trip to deals gap. i'm really pushing it when it comes to tuning the bike. i guess i'll just run it rich since i'd rather foul a few $15 plugs than put a hole in ...

i have the V force delta 2 cage, and i had to trim the front corners a little so it would fit in the case. it's like it was a little to wide on the piston side and needed to be tapered or something.

i don't know exactly what the current jetting was setup for. he rode trails with it, but i don't know if he ran it rich or lean or what. i probobly won't be WOT much. i have to ride on a couple straight roads to get to anything decent or to town to hooligan it up, so i guess that would mean i'd need...

NGK BR8ECM or BR8ECMIX. it's the short neck plug, and the second is the iridium version.

would moving to a BR9ECMIX add a little extra cushion when it comes to worrying about burning up a piston?

where exactly do i need to drill the holes in the wiseco piston, and how many? pics of said holes?

street driven 500 JETTING QUESTIONS

i'll be running my GEN 3 500 on the street as a supermotard about 95% of the time, and the other 5% will probably be at a 1.8 mile roadcourse. anyone have any ideas on what i should start at? i really don't want to just give it a shot and end up with a hole in the piston. i'd rather foul a $13 plug ...

the frame is welded, radiators are "modified", and i'm going to use the old PC header that is a little dinged up and was really rusty. i had it sandblasted and i'll spray it with some high temp black paint till i can get a new platinum series PC header. i'll take some pictures of the frame...

the OEM piston is cast. don't drill it. make sure the exhaust bridge is relieved check, your ring gap and RIDE. yup. if your running stock piston, do it like it was from the factory. no holes, slightly relieve the bridge, check ring gap and ride by relieving the bridge, you mean take a slight amoun...

any ideas on exactly what happened??

here's the info. 05 CR250, jetted for trails, and the plug had been in there for over a year of trail riding and it ran perfect and never had a problem whatsoever. i put my motard wheels on it and was driving it around town all day with some motard buddies. it wouldn't pull 5th gear (15/39 gearing) ...

just ordered a Honda OEM standard bore piston. do i need to relieve anything on it or drill any holes? after honing the cylinder, does anything else need to be done to it?
