Captain Clueless asks: Can you camp? Do you need any sticker / permit on the truck? Assume you need Green sticker on the bike. I found the turn off the 14 no problem. So you then take Dove Springs Canyon Road all the way to the end? Will be up ASAP Friday before noon.

The outside diameter is meant to be the same as an 18". The lower profile of the 19" results in a stiffer side wall and more grip on smoother surfaces. My understanding is the 19" grew out of supercross and then jumped over to mainstream motocross. Desert racers who value the extra fl...

It is but one tuning variable, but in general terms shortening the length of the exhaust system increases top end power... I'll qualify my original statement - having gone back and consulted two two-stroke tuning handbooks. Short tuned length, shorter head pipes, larger volumes and more angled diff...

Barbershop

George Bush and Barack Obama somehow ended up at the same barber shop. As they sat there, each being worked on by a different barber, not a word was spoken. The barbers were even afraid to start a conversation, for fear it would turn to politics. As the barbers finished their shaves, the one who had...

I swap between 14/51 for motocross and 14/48 everywhere else. I went 15/48 for the Elsinore GP and it was...

I suspect it is because I am running a O-ring chain, but with 15T countershaft sprocket is filing the very slightest grooves in the case.

The '81 CR450R should be avoided unless it is in great condition and you plan to keep it as a collectible. It was a work in progress bike and there's no reason to ride one if you can get a '82 or and '83 CR480R. The primary differences between the '82 and the '83 are the forks and the transmission. ...

Hold off on buying a new tank. I have the Acerbis tank - already pre-formed by Bob. But I think it will not work with my Scott steering damper. Let me wash the bike today and see what's what. If it doesn't fit it will be up for sale.
