fmikhele - Personally prefer the Gen 2 CR250's ignitions i.e 2000 & 2001 due to the fact you don't have to deal with all the extra crap the Gen 1's and Gen 3's in terms of wiring.

I think that Gen 1 CR250's were the first digital ignitions. Personally prefer the Gen 2 CR250's ignitions i.e 2000 & 2001 due to the fact you don't have to deal with all the extra crap the Gen 1's and Gen 3's in terms of wiring. From what I recall Gen 3 ignition work but require a little more m...

Yes 02' is a gen 3... believe from 02'-07' is the same for cosmetic's, but do your research! Take some time and read though the sticky's at the top of the forms as they often have all the general things your looking for such as;

89-01 CR500 motors are the same so you shouldn't have a problem finding clutch parts I believe GEN 3, CR250 & CRF450 stuff will work too with some modifications. Roosty would be your man to inquire about exactly what needs to be modified. --> Read this http://www.bannedcr500riders.com/board/view...

Thanks man :clink: To be honest kind of had an oops with the wife :doh: So the bike may be forsale soon enough... It would be pretty sweet to make it road legal thou! The dry clutch works great if you dont get it dirty :P

She's a runner! :D Fired right up, decompression head works good. Little trickle of coolant coming from the waterpump between one of the gaskets and the separator plate. I installed a new separator plate during the rebuild and I think I should have put just the plate in there first and tighten down ...
